With liposuction, excess adipose tissue can be easily removed. However, it is important to remove only the excess fat in order to obtain a natural fat layer. In our practice, we mainly work with liposculpture, the most precise form of liposuction. This not only removes fat, but also sculptures the silhouette with pinpoint accuracy. Fine cannulas minimize the risk of irregularities.

We offer various methods of liposuction:

Dr. med. Christian Niehus specializes in liposculpture and primarily uses PAL (Power Assisted Liposuction) in combination with VaAl (Vacuum-Assisted Liposculpture).

Time required: The procedure is usually performed on an outpatient basis and takes 1 to 4 hours.

Tumescent anesthesia: With this painless method, the anesthetic is infiltrated into the tissue, leaving you conscious but pain-free.

Sedation: For extensive treatments, we recommend sedation, which allows you to sleep during the entire procedure.

We offer both local tumescent anesthesia and sedation.

Risks: The risks are manageable, but the procedure should be well planned. Side effects include bruises, temporary sensory disorders, and sore muscles. After 3-4 days, everyday activities can be resumed. For a perfect and natural result, it is important that sufficient fat tissue is left behind.

After surgery: treatment

Returning to work: After 1-3 days, work can be resumed without any restrictions in everyday life.

checks: First check after 7-10 days, further after 2, 4 and 6 months.

Compression clothing: In the first 14 days: day and night (not when showering).

From the 3rd week: Daytime only.

From the 4th week: Only during sports.

Showers: Possible from the first day after surgery.

Sports: Allowed again after 2 weeks (no jogging).

Dietary change: Start of dietary adjustment and weight loss, if discussed.
